What is Driver PCP, and do you need training?
Driver CPC is a certificate of professional competence designed to improve road safety and maintain high driving standards across Europe.
By law, drivers of lorries, buses, coaches and taxi’s must complete 35 hours of training every five years to keep their CPC valid. Failure to do so may result in a large fine of up to £1,000.

DVSA warns of major Driver CPC clampdown to tackle rule-breaking.
The DVSA and JAUPT will take action against any driver or training provider that is found to repeat the same periodic training subjects as part of the Driver CPC.
The enforcement agency and the accreditation service said they had started monitoring training provider uploads and driver records and could revoke a driver qualification card (DQC)if they find that the rules have been broken.
